Sustainable and Inclusive Urbanisation and Economic Development
Asma is the Team Leader for the UK-Africa Investment Summit Technical Assistance Facility and was previously Portfolio Director for DFID Infrastructure and Cities for Economic Development (ICED) Facility, with a focus on Fragile and Conflict Affected States, Gender, Disability and Inclusion and Urban Development. From 2016 to 2018, Asma was Associate Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Rockefeller 100 Resilient Cities Programme.
Asma is a high calibre programme management professional in the international development sector with a passion for social, economic and environmental justice issues. She has extensive experience of capacity building and change management. Asma has significant experience of relationship management and government liaison as well as a proven track record of building consensus across sectors and tiers. Asma possesses outstanding interpersonal skills and is an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing.
