The Future Cities programme, under the FCO Prosperity Fund, supports the development of urban environments that enhance economic growth and reduce poverty in a range of lower to middle-income developing countries, including Nigeria. UrbanEmerge worked with ICF, Vivid Economics and the DAWN Commission to undertake a scoping study informed the formulation of interventions at the state government level.  There is a focus on Technical Assistance for strategic urban and regional planning, low-carbon transport and improving data collection and management to inform planning and management. UrbanEmerge identified urban challenges in Ogun State, worked with the local team to shortlist potential interventions and made recommendations on the best interventions for the FCO programme to enable economic growth and improved quality of life.
